MEET THE DESIGNER

HI THERE, I'M JENNY

I’m a Digital Designer based in the sunny seaside town of Brighton.  Since the beginning of my career, I’ve focused on channeling my talent and creativity into meaningful and powerful results.

I take pride in the work I do, as well as the strong relationships I’ve built with clients and colleagues. I firmly believe in working hard, working together and having fun along the way.

SO.. WHO ACTUALLY AM I?

A big question, so prepare for a summarised answer..

Apart from being completely driven by creativity and design (obviously), my passion comes from problem solving. Finding solutions to problems that others don't see as easily.

I grew up pretty dyslexic which made school-life no easy road. I saw myself differently to others and this as my downfall as to why I couldn't succeed, accepting that things were just a bit 'harder' for me, or that I just needed some 'extra help'.

Puzzles on the other hand, I did not need any assistance with. I could complete any game or task of this nature in record time and always come out on top. This new found area of confidence did not just end with puzzles and games, but also everyday problems. I would be able to clearly see logical and efficient solutions to things without hesitation.

Paired with a heavily developed eye for design, this set of skills has assisted me through my career journey, which I now use to help others on their own business ventures through efficient and beautiful design.

THE
TIMELINE

THE BEGINNING

After graduating university with a degree in Interior Design and a cloud of confusion looming for the road ahead, I found that my presentational and layout skills from university projects sparked a load of attention. Coming from a family and close circle of proud entrepreneurs and business owners, I was thrown into the deep end with offers to do design projects here and there for things like brochures, booklet and flyer design - and with not much experience or plan of any sort, I took what I could get.

THE REALISATION

From here, I fell deeply in-love with all things graphic design. From the late nights watching Youtube tutorials to designing for corporate scale businesses - I was completely self-taught and inspired to learn and develop new skills, seeing how far I could take it. With more experience came more work and once I began taking on larger scale projects, I realised this is what I was made to do. I started working for multiple companies on contract and created a nifty little set-up from myself.

THE 'REAL' BEGINNING

Jump forward a couple years and  The glowing feedback and 'Eureka' moments I would see from clients when I nailed a design made me realise that I could do this for whole brand concepts, not just design elements here-and-there. That's where studio 11 was born, being my lucky number (and my birthday!). I knew I wanted to market myself as an individual and help businesses create their dream brands and I believed 100% that I could.

So I did.
